Who we are
A dye house built on batch-to-batch consistency.
Established in 2000, Alok Industries is a manufacturer and exporter of high-quality Acid Dyes and Direct Dyes, serving customers across India and international markets. Acid dyes are our strongest and most specialised range, with customised shade development available for specific customer requirements.
Our facility in GIDC Naroda, Ahmedabad spans more than 2,000 square metres — reaction vessels, filter presses, centrifuges, milling and blending, an in-house laboratory, ETP, RO/DM plant and boiler, supporting a monthly capacity of approximately 60 MT.

Common questions
Acid Dyes and Direct Dyes, answered.
What is the difference between Acid Dyes and Direct Dyes?
Acid Dyes are applied from an acidic bath and bond with protein and polyamide fibres — wool, silk, nylon and leather. Direct Dyes are applied from a neutral or slightly alkaline bath and have direct affinity for cellulosic fibres such as cotton, viscose and jute, as well as paper pulp, without needing a mordant. Most dye houses carry both because the two ranges cover opposite ends of the fibre spectrum.
Which fibres and substrates can your dyes be used on?
Our Acid Dyes are used on wool, silk, nylon, polyamide and leather, and in ink formulations. Our Direct Dyes are used on cotton, viscose and other cellulosic fibres, and in paper. Both ranges also run in a number of other industrial applications — see our applications page for the full breakdown by substrate.
Do you develop custom shades?
Yes. Send us a sample shade, a Pantone reference or a competitor sample and our in-house laboratory will match it against your substrate and process conditions, then supply a lab dip for approval before we scale to bulk.
Where are you located, and do you export?
We manufacture from an ISO 9001:2015 certified facility at 147/3, Phase 2, GIDC Estate, Naroda, Ahmedabad, Gujarat 382330, India. Alongside customers across India, we export to buyers in multiple international markets. Get in touch to discuss shipping to your region.
